We are seeking an experienced and strategic Geotechnical Superintendent to lead geotechnical engineering functions in supporting safe, sustainable, and economically optimized mining operations. This role is critical in ensuring long-term slope stability, operational continuity, and compliance with mining safety standards across the life of mine.

• Develop and oversee long-term slope design strategies by determining optimum slope geometry for each geotechnical domain, considering Factor of Safety (FoS), slope life, material characteristics, and risk levels

• Ensure slope designs are both technically stable and economically optimized, supporting mine profitability (NPV, IRR, and mine life)

• Define geotechnical domains, rock mass quality, and groundwater conditions to provide area-specific slope design recommendations, including bench dimensions and slope angles

• Provide geotechnical input and technical recommendations to Mine Planning for pit optimization and long-term sequencing

• Develop long-term monitoring and risk mitigation strategies, including slope monitoring, water management, drainage systems, and high-risk area controls

• Ensure operational areas remain safe and mineable in accordance with pit progression schedules within the Life of Mine (LOM) Plan

• Prepare and submit geotechnical assessments as part of mining safety technical studies and regulatory reporting requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related discipline with Geotechnical specialization

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in mining geotechnical engineering, preferably at Superintendent or Supervisor level

• Strong proficiency in geotechnical and mining software, including Slide2, RS2, RocFall, ArcGIS/Mapper, AutoCAD, and Minescape

• Strong expertise in slope stability analysis, geotechnical modeling, and mining risk management

• Demonstrated leadership capability, strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong commitment to safety excellence
